Shipping – Returns
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations. Unfortunately we cannot currently ship to the USA and Canada, however this is subject to change in the future.
We aim to deliver within 2 working days of your order to destinations on the UK Mainland. Delivery will need to be accepted and parcels cannot be left at an unattended location by our courier.
Your order will be either actioned the same day (or the day after) on confirmation of valid payment, apart from weekends and will be delivered by our courier. The standard shipping charges are:

Under the Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel the contract within 14 working days beginning the day after the goods have been delivered, all return costs will be the responsibility of the returnee and are not refundable.
If your order included any delivery charges these are not refundable; refunds only relate to the cost of the product(s) and not any delivery charges.
To do this please contact our customer services department who will issue you with a return reference number (RRN) and return address and once we have confirmation that the product has been returned to us undamaged / unopened and in the original packaging we will issue you a full refund within 14 working days of receiving your return.
We recommend you take out carriage insurance to the value of the product when posting your return.
If you return an item without a RRN then we reserve the right to return the goods to you at your expense.
If the courier has tried to deliver your goods and you fail to arrange a redelivery or if you do not respond to the “sorry we missed you” card left by your driver, your order will eventually be returned to the sender.
This incurs The Chess Store a fee of £12 which we cover however the buyer is liable to pay postage costs for redelivery. In the UK that will be £5.95 and for the rest of the world it will depend on location.
You will not be charged for postage twice if a product arrives damaged and requires replacement. If a product arrives in damaged condition, please contact us immediately by email at email@example.com. Claims for damage must be reported to us within 7 days of receipt of goods otherwise the claim will not be valid.
