A simple yet clear British Staunton set with 95 mm (3¾ inch) king, felted and weighted. The British Series Chessmen are carved from single blocks of sheesham, an exotic hardwood that we also use for our luxury chess pieces. Each of these Staunton chess pieces is hand turned before the detailing process begins. The robust nature of the sheesham wood allows this detail to hold its shape for decades, ensuring that this set lasts a lifetime rather than just a few years.
